Dominican Republic Mission of Hope Church of Sharon, MA. has an ongoing partnership with the Haitian Mission Baptist Church of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. The church responds to the many needs of disenfranchised Haitians who work as virtual slaves on the sugar cane plantations and live in destitute conditions in company Bateys. Converge Worldwide in cooperation with the Cameroon Baptist Convention has water projects in a number of villages in the northwest province of Cameroon. These projects include the Mbingo Hospital and the villages of Njinikejem, Belo, and Mejang, and are under the supervision of Thom Schotanus.
